The launch of our Entrepreneur Programme is designed to support the Conservation Interns to acquire practical business skills; skills that can assist them across a range of career opportunities.
A first step for this programme is the Flower House Tuckshop.
Located in the Flower House, the tuckshop offers visitors a selection of refreshments including; water, cold drinks, snacks firewood and firelighters.
Hands-On Learning at the Tuckshop
Through running the tuckshop, the Interns gain practical experience in key business areas:
- Inventory Management: Interns track stock levels, reorder supplies, and ensure the tuckshop is well-stocked with popular items, providing insights into effective inventory control.
- Financial Handling: They handle pricing, manage cash flow, and keep financial records, building a foundation in basic financial management.
